Digital Dialogues: 'Epistemic Injustice'

In this dialogue, I was being interviewed by Assistant Professor Vlademire Bumatay of the University of the Philippines Baguio, on doing philosophical research during the pandemic. The discussion also touched upon the core conceptual framework of my research, 'epistemic injustice' --- a term coined by Miranda Fricker which refers to a wrong done to someone in their capacity as a knower. The interview was conducted online on 12 April 2021.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

My research falls at the intersection of Critical Social Theory and Social Epistemology, but with specific attention to Decolonial and Feminist Critique. In my work, I develop the concepts of "(Mis)education" and "Epistemic Paralysis".

Let me keep you posted...
